Education is our top priority because it allows us to be exponential. The clinician who teaches 100 students per year, will indirectly care for eighty million patients over a twenty-year career. The Tulane Program operates at three clinical facilities,
providing exposure to a variety of clinical illnesses and patient populations. This makes the Tulane resident great, not only because she sees a diversity of severity and types of diseases, but also because she learns to care for a diversity of people. Appreciating diversity is requisite to be a great person, and being a great person is requisite for being a great doctor.
This section contains the details of our residency program. As always, if you ever have questions that may not be answered here, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Take a quick glance at the statics at the right of the page to get an overall feeling for the size and character of the program. But spend a decent amount of time with the content that is provided in the menu to the top-left. This content was created based on questions interviewees asked during their visit to Tulane. We suggest you start with "Curriculum" and work your way down to the last item where Dr. Wiese talks about how our program has changed over the last 5 years.
Also, feel free to download a copy of a PGY1 Contract.
